Maria Bertoch

Maria Bertoch

Industry Expert, Foodservice

Maria Bertoch is Circana’s industry expert on foodservice in Europe. She offers expert insight and commentary to clients and the media based on more than 15 years in market research and more than seven years in the restaurant and foodservice industries. Her perspectives cover European foodservice markets, key changes in consumer behaviour, new concept development, cross-country analysis, and tracking of key products. Bertoch focuses on uncovering emerging market trends and opportunities. She also presents at industry events and conferences and works with trade associations and journalists.


Bertoch joined Circana in 2007 to work on developing its consumer panel and CREST® service in France. In 2011, she assumed a more international role, launching CREST in Russia and working with international and Russian clients. She also gained experience in the U.S. market by working for a time in NPD’s U.S. Foodservice practice in Chicago. Previously, Bertoch worked as a market researcher for TNS Sofres in France.
